OPERATION

The St. Augustine Airport is Owned and Operated by the St. Augustine - St. Johns County Airport Authority on behalf of the citizens of St. Johns County Florida.  The airport complies with the rules and regulations established by the Federal Aviation Administration and the State of Florida Department of Transportation’s Aviation Office.

U.S. Customs & Border Protection Services

 

 

The St. Augustine Airport announces the availability of U.S. Customs and Border Protection services.  The Airport has achieved “USER FEE” airport status effective February 2009.  This designation will allow direct aircraft return flights to the St. Augustine Airport from foreign countries without the necessity of first stopping at a port of entry.

 

Users of this service are required to first obtain an “Overflight Permit” from U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.  This process can be accomplished by contacting the U.S. Customs Office at the airport.  For more information as to the requirements, please contact U.S Customs at (904) 209-0099 or access their website at www.cbp.gov . 

 

Normal Business Hours for U.S. Customs at the St. Augustine Airport will be Thursday through Monday from 11:30AM – 8:00PM.  Aircraft arriving outside of normal operating hours will be subject to an overtime fee of $150 in addition to the normal inspection fee.

 

FEE SCHEDULE –

Piston Aircraft - $50.00

Single or Twin Engine Turboprop Aircraft - $150.00

Turbojet or other Turbine Powered Aircraft - $250.00

 

*Scheduled Commercial Service (FAR Part 135 or 121 - 30-seats or fewer) Aircraft Type plus $10 per PAX
